Start with a product decision, not an exchange rate
A US price is only one input. Before generating country references, choose the exact billing period and the closest product category. Monthly and yearly products have separate regional relationships, and different categories can reflect different willingness-to-pay patterns.
The live productivity evidence above illustrates that separation. It is not a universal multiplier table: the pricing worksheet offers six categories and selects evidence from the matching period.
Use paired observations
For each qualifying subscription, compare its verified local price with the verified US price for the same product. That pair captures the developer's actual regional relationship at the time of observation. Combining many pairs produces a distribution rather than one fragile rule.
The worksheet applies the median relationship to a proposed US price and also reports the central 50% interval. This makes variation visible instead of presenting a single calculated amount as certain.

Why plain FX is an incomplete baseline
A currency conversion answers what the US amount is worth at an exchange rate. It does not describe Apple's available price points, rounded retail amounts, developer regional strategy or how comparable subscriptions are actually listed.
FX still has a useful role: it lets the worksheet compare the implied local reference with observed market medians. It should remain dated and separately labeled so later currency movement is not mistaken for a pricing edit.
Move from reference to a launch decision
Review countries where the distribution is wide, confirm Apple price-point availability and consider taxes, positioning and purchasing conditions. A reference outside the central interval can still be deliberate, but it deserves an explicit reason.
After launch, monitor the exact local amounts rather than only the converted dashboard. A local price change and an exchange-rate movement are different events and should lead to different decisions.

Does the worksheet recommend the final App Store price?
No. It provides evidence-backed references and ranges. The developer remains responsible for product positioning, taxes, price-point selection and local decisions.
Why must I choose a category?
Observed regional relationships can differ across AI, productivity, creative, security, health and language products. Category matching keeps the reference closer to comparable subscriptions.
Why are monthly and yearly references separate?
They are different products and commitments. The worksheet uses only exact one-month pairs for monthly references and exact one-year pairs for yearly references.
