How a comparison becomes trustworthy

The system treats Apple product identity, local price, currency conversion and verification as different layers. Missing data remains missing instead of being filled with a plausible-looking estimate.

1. Identify the product

The app, paid plan, billing period and platform are stored as separate fields. A free app download is never treated as the price of its subscription.

2. Keep the Apple observation

The Apple storefront value, currency, country, source URL, payload hash and observation time are preserved together. This is the value shown locally before any conversion.

3. Convert with a dated rate

Where ECB coverage exists, a dated reference rate may create an informational estimate. The estimate never replaces the local price and is not presented as a sale.

4. Publish only verified states

A subscription page becomes indexable only after Apple returns a stable IAP identity and enough current country observations. Missing products and countries stay out of the sitemap.
